It took several years but Sarah at long last decided that she had enough with her husband's excessive and abusive drinking. She was exhausted from seeing Keith come home early in the morning from drinking rather than spending time with her and the kids. She was also fed up from the DUI Keith recently received. Fortunately after Sarah explained this to her husband and he saw that she was serious, he told her that he had been very disturbed by his careless drinking behavior and that he was very relieved to learn that Sarah wanted to do something affirmative about his abusive drinking behavior. As a result, he made an appointment to see a counselor at the local alcohol rehab clinic.
